This Sunday is Mother’s Day. I’m sure a lot of you are scrambling to come up with the perfect way to treat your mother on May 8th.
Do you know what mothers love? Brunch. They also love wine. With that being said, we’re going to use today as an opportunity to talk about the perfect local brunch spot to take your mom this Mother’s day for a tasty brunch. Only this brunch spot also happens to be a wine boutique, as well.
One of the great things about local restaurants is that they’re able to introduce flavors from all the world, creating a unique dining experience from your typical Miami fare.
The owner of Atelier Monnier, Patrick Feyton is a transplant from Belgium who is passionate about food. His mission was to bring quality, fresh pastries and savory treats to Miami. In order to make his dream come to real life, Patrick brought French Pastry Chef, Franck Monnier, into the picture. Together, they work to create a unique and creative dining experience in Miami.
Atelier Monnier in Brickell is technically a French Bakery and Wine boutique, but they also serve an amazing brunch. It’s the perfect spot to treat someone special, like celebrating all of the moms in your life. They have an assortment of European favorites, like coffees, pastries, sandwiches, salads, macarons, cakes, artisanal breads, chocolates, frozen desserts, and an extensive selection of premium French and Italian wines.
All of the food at Atelier Monnier is made with all natural ingredients, and they’re as locally sourced as possible. From your first bite, you can tell that the food is fresh, tasty, and authentic.
Brunch at Atelier Monnier
Whether you and your mother have a sweet or savory tooth, you’ll be able to find a tasty and hearty meal here. Unlike other brunch spots in town, Atelier tends to stay low-key.
As far as their menu goes, you can choose from an extensive variety of croissants, danishes, and toast. If you’re looking for some protein, you can opt for an egg breakfast. They also have croques, quiches, and savory croissants. Or, you can choose something lighter, from their selections of yogurt and granola.
You can tell that the chef is French, as the croissants are the best in town. They’re buttery, flaky, airy, and delicious. These croissants always taste like they’re fresh out of the oven. The texture is perfect. The savory items in the croissants accent the rich and buttery flavors of the pastry. A personal favorite is the portobello Pesto Croissant. This is a flaky croissant that’s filled with grilled Portobello mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, and pesto sauce.
Under their savory menu, they also have a list of puff pastry dishes that are topped with fresh and rich ingredients, like the ground beef goulash lozen puff pastry. The puff pastry is a large and hearty portion that’ll fill you up and satisfy your savory tooth.
If you’re trying to satisfy a sweet tooth, their french toast is amazing. The French Toast is seared with a crunchy exterior that’s warm and gooey on the inside. It’s also topped with fruit so fresh, you’d think it was just picked out of the strawberry garden.
Their sweet croissants, pastries, and macarons pair nicely with a cup of dark black coffee. Their wine list is also quite extensive, and the staff isn’t afraid to answer any questions you have about it. The prices are affordable, so you can take mom out without having to worry about breaking your bank.
